Yale University and Healthy Initiatives Launch New Research On Quitting Smoking

Yale University and Healthy Initiatives, NGO, are launching a study “Reactive Carrots in Smoking Cessation” examining the use of a novel behavioral smoking cessation intervention.
The purpose of this research study is to test the effectiveness of abstinence rewards in a smoking cessation context. Subjects will participate in a smoking quit study which will help build confidence and skills to quit for good.
Two-hundred subjects are enrolling in this study at 2 sites – 100 participants in New Haven, Connecticut, U.S., and 100 participants in Kiev, Ukraine.
